EVA Air is a Taiwanese international airline that is among SKYTRAX’s Top 10 Best Airlines in the World.

Flying Economy with EVA Air to Taipei was an experience that truly exceeded my expectations, especially when it came to food. Now, I know what you might be thinking—airplane food usually conjures up images of bland, uninspiring meals, especially in Economy Class. But trust me, EVA Air economy is a delightful exception to this rule!

As soon as I settled into my comfortable seat, I was already looking forward to the meal service as I hadn’t had proper food for almost 12 hours. The flight attendants were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was well taken care of. When it was finally time to eat, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I opted for the Chicken with Provençale Sauce and Creamy Fusilli, accompanied with carrots, cauliflower and a piece of hot bread. The pasta was firm and not soggy, and the Provençale sauce was tasty. The chicken was tender and juicy—definitely not what you’d expect from typical airplane food. The meal was served with slices of apple—green and red. For my beverage, I chose soda instead of black coffee.

To top it all off, the meal concluded with a dessert that had me grinning from ear to ear. We were served a small but yummy slice of citrus and green tea cake, which was rich, soft and satisfying without being overly sweet. As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn’t help but appreciate the little touches that made the dining experience special, from the cute cutlery and cup to the carefully curated menu options. EVA Air economy has certainly raised the bar for airplane food, turning what could have been a mundane meal into a memorable part of my journey to Taipei.
